Ching-piao Chien, M.D.

1996 Asian/Asian-American Award Recipient

Lecture Title: Panic Disorder: Universal and Cultural Aspects

Dr. Chien, born in Taiwan, earned his medical degree from the College of Medicine at National Taiwan University. He completed his psychiatric training at National Taiwan University Hospital, Taipei Children's Mental Health Center, Massachusetts Mental Health Center, and Boston State Hospital.

A founding Fellow and former Secretary General of the Pacific Rim College of Psychiatrists, Dr. Chien was also an International Fellow member of the American Psychiatric Association. In 1996, he was honored with the Asian/Asian-American Award.
