1995 Asian/Asian-American Award Recipient
Lecture Title: Socioeconomic Changes in Asia: Implications For Mental Health Services
Dr. Lieh-Mak earned her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine in the Philippines in 1964 and completed her specialty training in London. She joined the University of Hong Kong in 1978 and went on to serve as president of the World Psychiatric Association. Dr. Lieh-Mak also acted as an advisor to both the United Nations and the World Health Organization. She was honored with the Asian/Asian-American Award in 1995.
