2023 Kun-Po Soo Award Recipient
Lecture Title: The West to the East: Diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to treatment resistant mood disorders
Dr. Tung-Ping Su received dual residency training in Taiwan and the US and did clinical fellowship at the NIMH. Dr. Su is currently the chair of the Department of Psychiatry, Cheng-Hsin General Hospital and Professor Emeritus of National Yang Ming Chia Tung University, Taiwan; he was previously the president of AsCNP. He researches treatment refractory mood disorders in association with brain imaging. Dr. Su introduced rTMS therapy to Taiwanese patients and pioneered clinical trials of ketamine on depressed Asian populations. He has received the “Academic Achievement Award” from the Taiwanese Society of Psychiatry and the APA “Kun-Po Soo Award.” Dr. Su has published more than 300 papers in SCI and written several book chapters.
