On May 10, 1963, some 400 APA members left San Francisco, CA, for the Joint Meeting of the Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology in Tokyo, Japan. A total of 750 psychiatrists, representing 18 countries, met for social and scientific gatherings during the 5-day convention.
