2002 Kun-Po Soo Award Recipient
Lecture Title: Journey to the West: Reflections on Culture and Psychiatry Entering the New Century
Dr. Lin, born in Taipei, earned his medical degree from National Taiwan University in 1971. He founded two major Asian mental health centers and served on several national committees, including APA's Council on Research and the DSM-V Task Force. His pioneering work spans cross-ethnic psychopharmacology, psychiatric nosology, epidemiology, medical anthropology, and refugee mental health. Dr. Lin also served on the Committee of Asian American Psychiatrists, received the Kun-Po Soo Award in 2002, and is an APA Distinguished Life Fellow.
