Lecture Title: Cultural Psychiatry in Asia
Dr. Tseng was Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Hawaii, School of Medicine, since 1972. He was trained in psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry at the National Taiwan University Hospital in Taipei and later at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center of Harvard Medical School in Boston. He held positions as a guest professor at the Institute of Mental Health, Peking University, Beijing, China, since 1987. He served as Chairman of the Transcultural Psychiatry Section of the World Psychiatric Association for two terms (1983-1993).
