Lecture Title: Eliminating Disparities in the Treatment of Hispanics
Dr. Blanco is the Director of the Division of Epidemiology, Services, and Prevention Research at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). He has been a mentor, collaborator, and sponsor to many young Hispanic researchers, an indefatigable advocate for patients, and a dedicated teacher and clinician. Dr. Blanco, an internationally known expert in the epidemiology and treatment of mood, anxiety, and substance use disorders, has authored over 350 peer-reviewed publications. Prior to joining NIDA, Dr. Blanco was Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center.
