Lecture Title: A Childhood Memory: Narrative, Fact and Subjective Experience
Dr. Hernandez, born in Lima, Peru, has been in private practice since 1974. He earned his bachelor's in medicine from the University of San Marcos in Lima in 1964 and received a diploma in psychological medicine from the Royal College of Physicians in London the same year. A full member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 1973, he also earned a doctorate in medicine from the University of San Marcos in 1976. Dr. Hernandez served as vice president of the International Psychoanalytical Association and is a member of the British Psychoanalytical Society. He also directs the Seminario Interdisciplinario de la Familia (INTERFAM) in Lima.
