2020 George Tarjan Award Recipient
Lecture Title: Contributions of Indo-Americans to American Psychiatry
Dr. Pandurangi was born in India and earned his MBBS from JIPMER in Pondicherry before completing his psychiatry residency (MD) at NIMHANS in Bangalore. He later pursued a second psychiatry residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, followed by a fellowship in schizophrenia research at the New York State Psychiatric Institute & Columbia University. A Distinguished Life Fellow of the APA, he is an active member of the Asian American and IMG Caucuses and was honored with the George Tarjan Award in 2020.
