Lecture Title: My Interest and Experience in Working with International Medical Graduates (IMGs)
Dr. Kramer earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois in 1954 and completed his psychiatric residency at Cincinnati General (1954–1955). He later served as a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Corps (1958–1961). A pioneer in sleep research, he was a founding member of the Association of Sleep Disorders Centers, now known as the Academy of Sleep Medicine, and served as president of the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD). Recognized for his contributions to psychiatry, Dr. Kramer was a Distinguished Life Fellow of the APA and received the George Tarjan Award (2012).
