Lecture Title: Pearls from Private to Public Practice
Dr. Panahon was born in the Philippines and received her medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of the Philippines (1967). Dr. Panahon has a long history of advocacy on behalf of IMGs, having served as chair of the APA Committee on IMGs and the Caucus of Asian American psychiatrists. She was President of the Philippine Psychiatrists in America, the recipient of the George Tarjan Award (2004), and is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the APA.
