2022 George Tarjan Award Recipient
Lecture Title: International Medical Graduates and the Care of Older Adults with Mental Health Disorders in the United States
Dr. Tampi earned his medical degree from Medical College, Kerala University in Trivandrum, India, before completing his psychiatry residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center from 1999 to 2001. He then pursued a fellowship at the Yale-New Haven Medical Center from 2001 to 2002. An active member of the APA, he is involved in several community groups, including the Asian American and IMG Caucuses, as well as the Council on Geriatrics. A Distinguished Fellow of the APA, Dr. Tampi was honored with the George Tarjan Award in 2022.
