2024 George Tarjan Award Recipient
Lecture Title: Gratitude: Immigrants and International Medical Graduates
Dr. Gogineni earned his medical degree from Shree Rangaraya Memorial Medical College, Andhra University, Kakinada, in 1972 and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System from 1975 to 1979. He is nationally and internationally recognized for his contributions to the advancement of international medical graduates through advocacy, organization, and scholarship. A Distinguished Life Fellow of the APA, he is an active member of several APA community groups, including the IMG and Asian American Caucuses. In recognition of his dedication and impact, Dr. Gogineni was honored with the George Tarjan Award in 2024.
