Dr. Husain was born in Delhi, India, and started his medical career at Dow Medical College in Karachi, India (1962), then training in London & New York City, and finally to McGill University in Montreal. Eventually, he was recruited to join the Psychiatry Department at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Dr. Husain represented both central Missouri and International Medical Graduates (IMG) in the Assembly. He was an APA Life Member and recipient of the APA Bruno Lima Award (1996) and George Tarjan Award (1997).
