Mental Health Care Works Campaign Evolves from Awareness to Action in Second Year
America is still in the midst of a mental health crisis. While millions are struggling, far too few are seeking and receiving treatment. Last year, our outreach affirmed that mental health care works. Now our challenge is helping people find a way to access that care. Building on the momentum of last year's efforts, the Foundation has evolved its outreach, unveiling Mental Health Care Works When You Make the Call.
With our clear and direct message, we're providing the information and resources for Americans to take an active role in their care. Our evolved campaign strives to clear the way for and empower as many Americans as possible to make the call to care providers and resources that can help them begin their mental health journey. Through nationwide PSAs that have already garnered 323 million impressions in the campaign’s first year, as well as social and digital components, the evolved campaign delves even deeper with more personal storytelling around addiction and OCD mental health journeys. Driving traffic to our website, available in both English and Spanish, our audience can find personal storytelling and information, a robust selection of condition-specific resources, and who they can connect with to answer their call.
Our new storytelling includes Robert, who thought his drinking was just a part of his social life, until he started neglecting his family.
