Lecture Title: The First Call for Human Rights in the American Continent (1511): Father Antonio Montesino and his Relevance to the Mission of the Psychiatrist
Dr. Rothe is Professor of Psychiatry and a Founding Faculty Member of the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine/Florida International University in Miami, Florida. He has written extensively about the mental health issues of immigrants, refugees, and patients of diverse cultural backgrounds, an area in which he has received several national awards. He is president-elect of the American Academy of Psychodynamic Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis and past president of the American Association of Social Psychiatry.
