Lecture Title: NAFTA and Psychiatry: Challenges and Opportunities
Dr. de la Fuente earned his medical degree from the School of Medicine at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and completed postgraduate training at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, as well as at New York University and Columbia University. He also received psychoanalytic training at the Graduate School of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. From 1977 to 1980, Dr. de la Fuente served as Director of Mental Health at the Mexican Ministry of Health and was the Founder and first President of both the Mexican Psychiatric Association and the Mexican Council of Psychiatry.
