Lecture Title: Twenty Years and Twenty Post-Trauma Clinical Lessons From Macro Events to Micro Application
Dr. Cohen, born in Lima, Peru, graduated from the National University of San Marcos in 1942. She went on to earn a Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health in 1945 and received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 1949, as part of the institution’s first coeducational class. Dr. Cohen was an internationally renowned expert in disaster intervention and assistance for survivors. She served as a consultant to the Pan American Health Organization and the Boston Public Schools and was a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
