Starting in 1900, the state combined the data gathered from each of its institutions into a single report. Data on admissions, treatment, discharges, illness, mortalities, staffing, and costs that occurred at Central State Hospital were included. The combination of system data allowed for comparisons of conditions by individual facilities as well as system-wide.
