Dr. Nora was born in the Philippines, graduated medical school at the University of Santo Tomas (1963), and trained in psychiatry in Wisconsin and New Jersey. She became Chief of Psychiatry and Director of Psychiatry Residency Training at the Veterans Administration (VA) Medical Center in New Jersey. Also, she was Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey—Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Piscataway, New Jersey. She was a Fellow of the APA and chairman on both the Committee of Asian American Psychiatrists and International Medical Graduates.
